One of the reliable things about Mastodon is that if you mention something you’re bothered by, someone will scold you for failing to be bothered by something they think is worse.

I think it’s much more productive to let people feel things and express their concerns as they see them.

To add, I'd replaced Mastodon with any large social network and you're guaranteed the same results.
