Abhigyan Trips writes about the double or Indian thank you which is to reply to a thank you with another thank you. It's something I've encountered a number of times and will occasionally do so myself usually at restaurants.
His post has has explained the feeling I've gravitated towards when reciprocating a thank you and provides a lot of examples.
Thanking someone is almost always a polite and good thing to do, so a couple more flowers given to people here and there should only bring about good!
