Tom Forth writes about Lelystad and why it wasn't as successful of a new city as Almere. These two cities were reclaimed from the sea in the Netherlands constructed with new homes, schools, medical facilities and infrastructure in the 60s and 70s. It's an interesting insight by someone who's clearly lived there to understand the area.
